Masonic Child ID Program & Fireman's Pancake Breakfast at Mill Valley Lodge
Mill Valley, CA -- Mill Valley Masonic Lodge will be sponsoring the Child
ID Program or "KIDS" on
Monday, May 30, 2005, from 7:15 am 'til the Parade starts
at the Mill Valley Masonic Events Center.
The KIDS program is designed to facilitate the recovery of lost, runaway
or apparently abducted children. A picture and thumbprints of the child are
taken and transferred to a single sheet of paper using a computer system. It
is given, free of charge, to the parent(s) for safekeeping, and instructions
are provided on how to use the document. No information is retained by the computer
system or the Masonic Child ID
Program, or anyone else but the parent. If the child is ever missing, the
parent(s) provide the picture and thumbprints of the child to the authorities
to assist them in their efforts.
This program is supported by the Mill Valley Masonic Center, the Mill Valley
Police Department and the Mill Valley Volunteer Fire Fighters.
The Mill Valley Masonic Center was formed in 1903. To become a Mason, a man
must be over 21 years of age, of good character and willing to express a belief
in a Supreme Being. If you would like more information about Masonry in Mill
Valley, contact us. We'd appreciate the opportunity
to tell you more about what we do!
