Introduction/current position/positions held
1. Joining The Odd Fellows (A Personal Experience) Grandfather introduced me to the
fraternity, while I was still in the military. Reasons for joining. What I discovered.
2. Challenges Facing Many Lodges & Organizations (Not Unique to IOOF) How to rebuild
the membership and to bring existing members back to meetings Attendence
Prizes/Refreshments/Newsletters/Activities/Meetings held with Integrity. What my lodge
faced. (Quorums/Fire Marshal/Running Lodge like a "business")
3. First Steps To Rebuilding Lodge In The Community. Those specific "things to do
when rebuilding" 1 through 5 "(Need that one member to carry..., Chamber Of
Commerce, Historical Society, Local Festival Info. Booth, Scholarship Fund) Donations if
possible - only in local community.
4. Bringing In The New Members. (Relates to Masons; I do not ask anyone to join my lodge/
but brought in 42 members last year). Have something to "sell"- Be able to
explain activities on International/State/Local levels (Do not over burden newer members)
5. Being Honest To Yourself And Living By Those Values Of Our Respective Organizations
(Odd Fellows, Masons, etc.) Is it worth it...?
